The Ox at Meat Bridge

The Fleischbrücke is a bridge over the Pegnitz between Kaiserstrasse and Hauptmarkt (right next to the biggest Starbucks in town...), and there's also a small portal with an ox on it, watching the people passing by, which I only recently noticed. According to Wikipedia the inscription means "All things have a beginning and grow, but look: never has been the ox you see a calf".

Someone was definitely trying to be witty with that inscription. LOL! Love it! The statue too. Sure gives the place some character. ;)
